As everyone on the planet probably already knows by now, Jennifer Lopez has officially pulled the plug on her marriage to Ben Affleck this past week.
Even though the couple were separated for several long months, it was the singer and actress who had filed her divorce papers first.
And while there’s no doubt that both of them have been going through a hurricane of emotions over the divorce, if there is one person that Ben has been confiding in this entire time, it’s his other ex-wife, Jennifer Garner.
As much as the actress was hoping that her ex and Lopez would work things out, she’s also relieved that the drama between them is finally over. Not only that, but everyone can also move on with their lives.
One source close to the situation even put it this way, “Jen was hopeful that things would work out between them but of course, she just wants them to be happy. So she supports whatever path they’ve decided to take.”
“Ben and Jennifer are friends, and they have a great coparenting relationship. They have a mutual understanding that their kids come first.”
The insider also said, “There’s a deep level of trust and respect between them. Ben “has confided in Jen in a lot of ways. Especially lately when things with J.Lo haven’t been so great in recent months.”
So far Ben Affleck has not made any comments about the matter, nor has he said anything about his divorce from Jennifer Lopez, either.
