That’s why they are doing everything they can to make sure that the exes are kept at a distance from each other, even though they are both promoting their new films. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Venice artistic director Alberto Barbera recently told Vanity Fair in a new interview, “Angelina will be on the first day, on Thursday [Aug. 29], and she will leave right after with [‘Maria’ director] Pablo Larraín.”

“So Brad will arrive only on Saturday, to Venice. There is no way that they can cross each other at the Lido.”

That said though, sources close to the situation say that neither Brad Pitt nor Angelina Jolie requested for the festival to space out their films.

The insider said, “Neither asked for that, they were wise enough to realize.”

Of course, the internet sure did have a lot to say about the matter. Some even commented with, “It’s so silly that two smart and accomplished adults cannot sit down in a room and resolve their differences. Many couples divorce, and many continue to be friends.”

“Surely Brad and Angelina can find common ground, shake hands, smile, and wish each other well with their respective lives and careers.”

Another critic wrote, “What’s going to happen if they bump into each other? Will Jolie be cross? Egotistical clowns.”

And then there was this comment as well: “I don’t care about festivals either, but I’m not a sporadic actress who phones in her roles so she can race out of there because she’s too emotionally attached to her children.”

“When they were married they’d walk around in frumpy clothes then at Hollywood functions they’d dress up, paste these smiles on their faces and act like Brando and Monroe. Not even close.”
