General Hospital spoilers and updates for Tuesday, August 27 tease parental dilemmas, unsettling news, and hidden truths. Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) has parental dilemmas while Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is set to deliver some unfortunate news and Heather Webber (Alley Mills) wants to share hidden truths!
Ric pays a visit to Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to address some parental dilemmas concerning their daughter, Molly Lansing-Davis (Kristen Vaganos).
The tension is palpable as Molly has accused Alexis of attempting to assist Kristina Davis-Corinthos (Kate Mansi) in taking her baby away from TJ Ashford (Tajh Bellow). However, the conversation feels somewhat irrelevant now, as the baby girl, Irene Marie Davis-Ashford (Mazlyn), has tragically passed away.
The entire family is grappling with their grief and the ongoing conflict, prompting Ric to express Molly’s worries to Alexis. He urges her to take this opportunity seriously, warning that if she doesn’t, she risks losing her bond with Molly forever.
Meanwhile, Molly unloads to Dex Heller (Evan Hofer), who was present when she confronted Ava Jerome (Maura West) in her jail cell. The frustration is evident on Molly’s face as she reveals to him that she would rather have nothing than endure this situation.
Alexis had hidden the legal documents that Kristina gave her, which would have granted her full custody of baby Irene, leaving TJ and Molly with mere visitation rights.
This is exactly what Alexis had feared and had tried to prevent Molly and Kristina from getting involved in. Molly’s words to Dex suggest that she’s not at all resigned to the idea of only being an aunt, had TJ and Kristina’s baby lived.
Meanwhile, Laura is faced with delivering some unsettling news, declaring, “we have a problem.” She was en route to Flatlands Federal Prison, where Nikolas Cassadine (Adam Huss) was being evaluated as a potential liver donor for Lulu Spencer (most recently Emme Rylan).
While Nikolas was a match for bone marrow when Lulu was an infant, which helped save her life from aplastic anemia, it seems he may not be suitable for a liver donation.
This situation means that Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) must be located and brought back to Port Charles for testing if Lulu is to have any chance of survival. With her liver condition worsening due to cirrhosis, the pressing issue is that Lucky’s location remains a mystery!
It seems that Heather is still at General Hospital, engaging in conversation with Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst). Dressed in her prison orange jumpsuit, she’s clearly prepared for her return to Pentonville.
Heather is rather frantic as she inquires if Elizabeth can keep a secret. Elizabeth, embodying the role of the compassionate head nurse, is doing her best to remain patient.
What kind of hidden truths could Heather possibly want to share with her ex-daughter-in-law? And if she’s not truly keeping it under wraps, what’s the point of asking for discretion?
At the hospital, Lulu’s worried cousin Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and her daughter Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) approach Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr) with a sense of urgency. Carly inquires about Lulu’s condition, and while a closer relative like a brother would be the ideal donor, all of Lulu’s family is eager to assist.
The question arises: are Carly and Josslyn considered close enough relatives for Portia to share detailed information about Lulu’s health?
Or will Portia invoke the “medical fifth” due to HIPPAA regulations? Let’s hope Portia doesn’t shut Carly out simply because she’s a cousin!
In the hospital chapel, a frazzled and anxious Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) unleashes her frustrations on Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Overwhelmed with worry, she fears that Lulu won’t muster the will to fight for her life, a challenge made even harder by her coma.
Tracy hurls accusations at Dante, which feels unjust since he isn’t responsible for what happened. Dante is visibly shocked as Tracy vents her anger, claiming that he has stolen Lulu’s spirit and determination.
