If they’ve got something to say, it’s best that they either keep it to themselves or say it behind closed doors.
There’s a new report that suggests Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have been urged against endorsing Kamala Harris in her race against Donald Trump for the White House.
In fact, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are being told to shut up about the matter altogether.
One source close to the situation says that Harry and Meghan should not get involved in this year’s presidential race, no matter how desperately they might want to have a say in it.
Not only that, but it’s not like anyone is going to take what Harry and Meghan have to say seriously, anyway. An endorsment would just anger a lot of people on both sides of the aisle.
Republican congressman Charlie Dent recently told GB News in a new interview, “I really don’t think most Americans sit up at night worrying what Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have to say about American politics, or British politics for that matter.”
“I know over in the UK that the royals are meant to stay out of politics. They do that sometimes successfully, I guess, sometimes not.”
Dent added, “Queen Elizabeth was pretty careful but Charles dabbled in it a bit more than some would like. “In terms of Meghan and Harry, I don’t think there are many Americans who are particularly concerned about their political opinions.”
“Politicians in the United States believe endorsements matter, I tend to think they don’t matter that much, they really don’t. In fact, in some cases, they have the opposite effect, they drive people away and maybe even hurt the branding of the person doing the endorsing.”
So far the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have made no comments about the matter. We will definitely update you with all of the latest details once they come in.
