There’s a new report that suggests new preparations are underway, should King Charles pass away sooner than expected. 

Even though there’s nothing alarming going on as of press time right now, sources behind the scenes say that the King of England is struggling with his cancer battle so much so that he’s putting off his royal engagements and public appearances.

In fact, plans for the monarch’s funeral, called Operation Menai Bridge, are being finalized as there are some staffers at Buckingham Palace who believe that King Charles could die anytime soon.

He’s struggling to even get up from bed on some days and apparently all he wants to do is rest.

King Charles Is Preparing His Heir To The Throne To Take Over

One source close to the situation even put it this way to In Touch Weekly, “The business of planning his funeral has already begun. Unpleasant as it seems.”

The tipster added, “The Buckingham Palace is giving the impression that Charles is on the mend, but he’s still very sick. Still, he’s the king and palace officials are practical enough to know death is a possibility.”

The insider also said that King Charles’s funeral plans are updated regularly to reflect all the things that he loves in his life, from music to his favorite patronages. 

The last time that the monarchy was in this same position was of course when Queen Elizabeth died back in September 2022. Members of the royal family were certainly sad, but because of the queen’s age, no one was in great shock over it. 

Now, as far as what’s going to happen next with King Charles remains to be seen but there’s a good chance that he’s also preparing his son, Prince William, to take over the throne.

So far Buckingham Palace has not made any comments about the matter but we will definitely update you with all of the latest details once they come in. Watch this space.
