Maybe it’s best if everyone just sticks to the policies. Even though Tim Walz has only been in the national spotlight for one hot minute as Kamala Harris’s new running mate, it looks like some critics from the other side of the aisle are already attacking his family.

In fact, some people couldn’t help but comment about Tim Walz’s 17-year-old son and how he broke down in tears after his father’s speech at the Democratic National Convention.

Gus Walz couldn’t help but get incredibly emotional while his father was up on the stage and even said, “That’s my dad” when the camera panned on him.

Ann Coulter, who is a huge supporter of Donald Trump, shared a link and a photo of Gus in  tears and simply captioned it with, “Talk about weird…”

Of course, the internet sure did have a lot to say about the matter. Some even commented with, “I am conservative and all these vile comments and attacks on a poor kid with special needs is unacceptable and must be called out. It isn’t weird, he loves his dad and is proud of him.”

Another critic wrote, “A son emotionally moved by a father who he clearly loves is weird to you? That’s petty and not helpful to whatever point you’re trying to make on the election.”

“I’m sure someone having human emotions would be weird for you.”

And then there was this comment as well, “I know that you don’t have any children and I know no one loves you, but it is not weird for a child to love their parent @AnnCoulter. We call your side weird for wanting credit for crowd sizes.”

Tim Walz Says That His Son’s Condition Is Also His Secret Power

“You call our side weird for loving our family. I’ll take our side any day.”

In the past, Tim has said that Gus has a non-verbal learning disorder, ADHD and an anxiety disorder. 

He also said that he is very proud of the graduating high school senior and said that his condition is “his secret power.”
