General Hospital spoilers and updates for Thursday, August 22 indicate the proverbial poop is about to hit the fan in Port Charles! The soap’s preview video just dropped, and viewers need to brace themselves for some bombshell moments.
James West (Gary James Fuller) has questions about spilling a secret, while Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms) questions Natalia Ramirez’ (Eva LaRue) motives, Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) makes a love confession, and Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) throws around some threats.
In addition, Lois Cerullo (Rena Sofer) is looking for honesty, while Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi) needs to get something off her chest, and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) believes that people can change.

GH’s preview video for Thursday, August 22 begins with both James and Cody (donning cowboy hats, of course) while at the Quartermaine stables. It looks as if James has come to his new uncle for advice, as Cody states in the scene, “I would tell the truth about something really important.”
Interesting statement, considering how long he kept the secret of Mac Scorpio (John J. York) being his father, but the advice is sound, none the same. Will James tell Cody what he knows about Willow, or will he tell someone else?
Meanwhile, the next scene in the GH preview video for Thursday, August 22 shows the Deception gang back at the Home & Heart studios. As Lois is fixing her hair and makeup, she asks Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase (Amanda Setton), “Will you be honest with me?” What could this be about?
As the scenes flash within the video preview, Maxie and Natalia are also shown on the Home & Heart set. Maxie bluntly asks Natalia, “What’s in it for you?”
Looks like Natalia’s going to get called out on her fake behavior as of late, so what will her response to Maxie be?
As the GH preview for Thursday, August 22 continues, Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) and Willow are shown somewhere outside on a park bench, both in black. From the scene, it looks like this husband-wife chat may take place either before or after the baby’s funeral service. A somber-looking Willow states to her hubby, “It’s hard loving someone you know you can’t have.”
Could Willow’s guilt have her telling Michael about the kiss she shared with Drew Quartermaine (Cameron Mathison)? She had better fess up before James does!
In other news from the baby’s funeral, the GH preview video for Thursday’s episode shows an emotional Kristina at the service, with mom Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) sitting next to her. Kristina declares, “I have something I’d like to say,” as she gets up from her seat. What will Kristina’s speech entail? Fans will have to tune in to find out!
During the baby’s funeral, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) will sit with Trina, and it seems like they’ll have a conversation before everything gets underway. The GH preview shows a scene between the besties, as Trina notes, “Maybe I still have hope for Ava.”
Will Ava prove that she can be the person Trina believes she can be?
Speaking of Ava, the GH preview video for Thursday, August 22 closes with Sonny and Ava at the art gallery. The mob boss is clearly upset as he yells, “I don’t care where you run, you can’t hide!”
Here’s hoping Sonny doesn’t do anything to Ava that both parties will end up regretting!
