That’s because to him the Abbott name stands for Jabot Cosmetics and he does not endorse his brother Billy putting the family name together with Chancellor. It would have been nice if Billy had consulted him, but that’s not how Billy Boy rolls.

Billy pushes back that since Abbott is his name, too, he has every right to use it. Billy also explains that he is honoring his sick mom Jill Abbott’s (Jess Walton) legacy even though that is her married name.
