Days of Our Lives Comings And Goings: Rex Is Back!

Days of Our Lives comings and goings say that Kyle Lowder is back to reprise his role as Rex Brady. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Kyle wrapped up his career on Days of Our Lives back in 2019, but he’s made several appearances since then. He’s been back to reprise his role in 2020, 2021, 2022 and again in 2023.

Soap Opera Digest says that his episodes will air in 2025. 

Back in 2022, during an interview with SOD, Kyle said that while he’s happy to be back on the set of Days of Our Lives, he wouldn’t mind also coming back on a full-time basis. 

The handsome actor said, “I’ve worked on prime-time television, done film, stage work and Broadway. I’m very proud of the career that I’ve had, but daytime drama is my favorite.”

“When I’ve come back the last couple of years, it’s really only been with Josh [Taylor, Roman] and Lauren [Koslow, Kate] because they play my parents, and Linsey [Godfrey, Sarah], for obvious reasons, and maybe Paul Telfer [Xander] a little bit.”

Kyle continued, “This time around, now through next year, I’ve had the opportunity to work with so many people because of the nature of the story I’m in.”

Days of Our Lives Comings And Goings: Will Kyle Lowder Come Back Full-Time?

“To have the opportunity to be on the show on a more permanent regular basis is something that I would absolutely love and be very grateful for.”

Kyle also said that he’s very proud of the fact that he’s been a part of the Days of Our Lives family for nearly two decades now. 

He said, “I started on this show 22 years ago [as Brady], when I was 19 years old. It was the first job I ever had. I’m so grateful to still be working on it 22 years later. I love the history of the show and the people who work there.”

“Every time I get a phone call that says, ‘We want you to come in and do this,’ I’m so overjoyed about it. I was on contract three years ago. Then they took me off contract. Ever since, Ron has very much kept Rex integrated within the fabric of the show, and I really appreciate it.”
