There’s no turning back from this. There’s a new report that heavily suggests Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are still using the royal family.
In other words, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex just seems to be ‘piggybacking’ off of the royals and the monarchy’s reputation. And some people out there have had enough of it.
As much as Harry and Meghan have been trying to make a name for themselves in America, it just hasn’t been working out for them.
That’s mostly because they don’t just want to be known as ‘Harry and Meghan.’ Instead, they want to be referred to as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. It seems like the couple just can’t get anywhere without having to remind everyone that they are still technically royals.
At least, that’s how royal commentator Richard Fitzwilliams puts it.
In a new interview with The Sun, Fitzwilliams puts it this way, “The problem with the Royal Family at the moment is that they are simply not able to do something which attracts attention on the same level and attention is important if you’re royal.”
“Of course, the Princess Royal and the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh and others do sterling work and carry out visits abroad. But they are not particularly high profile and I don’t think they particularly want to be.”
Not only that, but Fitzwilliams also points out that Harry and Meghan’s upcoming quasi-royal tour of Colombia is going to be triggering for the royal family as well.
Harry and Meghan say they don’t want to be royals, but keep acting like royals nonetheless.
He said, “It’s going to take an enormous amount of publicity and the Royal Family will not be able to match that in any way that I can foresee.”
So far Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have made no comments about the matter.
