The Bold and the Beautiful spoilers say that this is no place that a husband and a father would want to be, yet it’s exactly where Ridge Forrester is right now.
That’s because he’s trying to make both his daughter, Steffy Forrester, and his wife, Brooke Logan, understand that they all need to get along in order to be successful in both business and in life.
But Ridge already knows that hasn’t always been very easy.
Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actor Thorsten Kaye, who plays Ridge Forrester on the hit CBS soap, says that his character knows that Steffy would have such a negative reaction to his decision to give Brooke a prominent role at Forrester Creations with Brooke’s Bedroom.
The actor explains, “Is it weighing on him? Probably a little bit. But he knew that was going to happen. But I think he is trying to find a way to make these women like each other.”
“That’s always tough. It has nothing to do with him, but I think he’s trying to find situations that he can put them in where they both see the value of each other.”
Thorsten also says that Brooke’s success with her line might also change the dynamic of their relationship. In other words, Brooke might end up getting a little too big for her birches, so to speak.
He said, “When someone is successful [like Ridge is], and then all of a sudden your wife becomes successful and she needs you to watch the kids, or she needs to you to go to the store or pick up the dry cleaning, it changes the dynamic.”
“So even though it’s something you want for somebody, you’ve got to be prepared for the change that comes with that.”
