Let’s just say that their travel plans differ vastly from the travel plans of all the other royal family members out there. There’s a new report that says Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have accepted an invitation to go on a royal tour of Colombia. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
That’s right – the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are headed to South America.
According to a new report, while in Colombia, Harry and Meghan will head to Bogotá, Cartagena, and Cali with Márquez.
One source close to the situation even said, “In these vibrant locations, they will have the exceptional opportunity to engage with leaders, youth, and women who embody the aspirations and voices of Colombians committed to progress.”
“In addition to these meaningful interactions, The Duke and Duchess will experience the rich heritage of Colombia.”
“We are confident that their visit will further illuminate Colombia’s role as a beacon of culture and innovation.”
Of course, many royal fans and critics alike have had a lot to say about the matter on social media.
Some even commented with, “Colombia gets a bad rap. My brother spends months there and it’s a beautiful and diverse country just like America is. There are major cities, and small towns.”
“I am so glad that they are going so they can show the world a different side of this beautiful country.”
Another royal fan said, “Colombia is such a beautiful country, even if it’s not particularly safe everywhere, but I am so happy for them.”
“Cartagena is one of my favorite cities *ever*, although the history is, as with all those countries founded by colonizers, not without its own problems. But if the government looks after them, they will have a great time.”
