Let’s just say that he’s not going to walk away quietly from this one. It seems like a lot of Donald Trump supporters are getting nasty with The Young and the Restless star Eric Braeden online.
This is mostly because of a post that the actor has shared in which he said he was angry that he was confused for a celebrity who was a real Donald Trump supporter.
Eric, who plays Victor Newman, stated that clearly was not the case at all. Well, his comments generated over 9,000 replies on social media, with a lot of people not even knowing who Eric was to begin with. A lot of them happened to be Trump supporters.
When Eric found out that he was listed as a Trump supporter, he wrote on X, “Just found out someone put me on a list of celebs supporting TRUMP!! That’s outrageous! Under NO circumstances will I support that FRAUDSTER, that BULLSH***ER, who is ruining our country!”
Many social media followers commented on his post with, “We know you don’t care that Americans can’t afford groceries, gas, rent, energy, can’t afford a mortgage especially in California, 10 million unvetted illegals crossed our borders & taking the resources away from Americans who need it.”
“Yes Eric, we know you don’t support a better future for us who struggle everyday.”
Another critic wrote, “I have no idea who you are beyond someone posting on @X Just wanted to update you – Trump has not been running this country for almost four years so how pray tell would you think he is ruining the country.”
“Have you been asleep or in a drug induced coma?’
And then there was this comment as well: “Seriously. The only role you are known for is your lifetime role as a Victor Newman on a soap opera. Who plays the same character for 50 years?”
