General Hospital spoilers and rumors tease a shocking development could take place as history repeats itself. With neither parent in a condition to properly care for her, might Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) fight for custody of Avery Corinthos-Jerome (Ava and Grace Scarola)?

General Hospital Spoilers: Ava Jerome In Jail Or Worse, Sonny Corinthos In A Bipolar Spiral?

Viewers might remember Michael had custody of Avery as a baby, when he was still involved with Kiki Jerome (Hayley Erin); Ava Jerome (Maura West) was presumed dead at the time.

Michael wanted to protect Avery from growing up in the mob like he did so he fought and received custody of his little sister in court against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

Now, with Ava in jail, or worse, and Sonny in a bipolar spiral, it makes sense for Michael to fight for Avery’s custody again.

Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) took care of Avery for a while before she and Sonny’s divorce, which is when Avery and Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) became close.

But she has no legal right to Avery, and Willow Corinthos (Katelyn MacMullen) is in agreement, so they pursue legal custody in court to protect Avery from a spiraling Sonny!

GH Spoilers: A Confusing And Sad Time For The Little Girl

No doubt, it’s a confusing and sad time for the little girl because now she’s old enough to understand what’s happening, but she doesn’t understand why.

Ava and Sonny had both tried to shield her from the dangerous parts of their lives, and Ava hadn’t been even on the edge of the mob for years.

It was only after Sonny started hanging out with Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue) that Avery had to deal with her father not being supportive of her mother!

To make matters worse, her mother was accused of trying to murder her older sister Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi)! Avery unfortunately knows this because it was all over the news-she couldn’t be shielded from the talk about it at school!

General Hospital Spoilers: A Terrible Misunderstanding?

Avery’s other older sister, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) saw the fall through the window and jumped in to save Kristina from the Metro Court Pool and was questioned.

From all appearances from the ground, Kristina was pushed through the window, despite Ava’s insistence the fall was accidental. According to Ava when she was arrested, it was all a terrible misunderstanding and she tripped over “something”.

Michael and Willow and Josslyn all don’t want Avery to know all the circumstances but she can’t be kept from the knowledge-the only way would be to withdraw her from school.

Willow was an elementary school teacher, but in their current situation she can’t homeschool Avery-it’s a tough situation and a really tough call although they know they must protect her!
