This is certainly not part of any upcoming storylines. Days of Our Lives star Jessica Serfaty, who is best known for her role as Sloan on the hit Peacock soap, has accused her fiance, Leonardo Del Vecchio, of abuse.

However, she quickly retracted her statement after she posted her Instagram story and defended him a few short hours later. Let’s break it down for you.

In her Instagram video, Jessica pointed her finger at her fiance and told the camera, “This is the man who abused me,” while Leonardo simply stared back silently.

She then said, “And let it be known … who has caused my head to have … bleeding.”

However, Jessica quickly withdrew her allegation and defended him hours later.

She said, “Leo and I apologize for any who were triggered or affected by yesterday’s story.”

“Sometimes a family can have their own arguments and these should never be made public.”

“We ask that people respect our privacy at this time. I would never stay with an abusive man and which Leonardo Del Vecchio is not.”

“I revoke my words that were driven by anger and not in truth. I take back my words on a guy that will always be my companion, step father and family person to me.”

Of course, many DOOL fans and critics alike sure did have a lot to say about the matter. Some even wrote, “How do you ask for privacy when you’re the one posting videos of yourself crying and claiming abuse?”

“She nearly lost her meal ticket. Also asking for privacy when you uploaded the videos to begin with is hilarious.”

Another critic wrote, “There seems more to this story, all comments and full video on Reddit since this happened yesterday. This article is a bit late it seems.”

“He’s apparently had a history with his ex and abuse which wouldn’t speak for him.”

And then there was this comment as well, “The statement she posted doesn’t look like it was written by her, a native English speaker- it sounds like it was written by someone who doesn’t speak English as their first language. Aka her allegedly abusive European fiancé.. he probably forced her to post it.”
