The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Monday, July 22 tease that Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) has a lot on his plate. For starters, he and Chelsea Newman (Melissa Claire Egan) are trying like mad to keep secret the fact that they slept together while in Baltimore.

They were there to support their son and bad news led them to an even worse decision. Will Chelsea tell Adam that she spilled the beans to her BF Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson)?

Adam warns Chelsea that their fates are tied together right now and they both have a lot to lose. Chelsea is warned to also think about Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope).

Elsewhere, Devon Hamilton-Winters (Bryton James) asks Abby Newman-Abbott (Melissa Ordway) to marry him. It’s about time!

This means that GC is about to have another VIP event, and we all know how those go—disaster usually strikes at some point.

Y&R spoilers: Adam is Worried

Meanwhile, Adam also has concerns on the work front. Victor Newman (Eric Braeden) told him that he intends to keep him on after Nikki Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) returns to work. But Victor is a man who does what he wants and Adam fears getting burned.

Therefore, Adam warned Nikki that she has figure out what Victor is really up to or else he will stay on at Newman Media. Nikki didn’t like being threatened one bit but she also wants to know what Victor is cooking.

As a result, Adam and Nikki pull a surprise attack on Victor in his office. What Victor has to say leaves them gobsmacked.

Victor is buying a company similar to Newman Enterprises and he wants Nikki to run this company. Nikki is angry that he’s changed his tune and plans to keep Adam at Newman Media permanently.

Victor tells them that Adam has what it takes to lead Newman Media into the future and Nikki will excel at the new company. That all sounds kosher, but Adam and Nikki seem skeptical.

Nikki worries that Victor is targeting Abbott-Chancellor for a hostile takeover, and she doesn’t like that one bit. Victor stops talking and contends that that’s all they need to know. For now.
