He’s just not going to do it. There’s heavy speculation that suggests George Clooney is quite upset at Barack and Michelle Obama. That’s because he was hoping that Michelle would at least replace Joe Biden as the new nominee for the Democratic party.
But so far that hasn’t happened as all signs point to Kamala Harris being the party’s nominee. And of course, Clooney is not happy about it whatsoever. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Over the weekend, Joe Biden announced that he would be stepping down and that he wouldn’t be running for a second term in office. Instead, he immediately endorsed his running mate, Kamala Harris.
But this is not the scenario that George Clooney and the rest of the Hollywood establishment wanted. While Clooney made it clear that he thought Biden should have stepped down after his disastrous debate with Donald Trump earlier in the month, he didn’t think Kamala would take over.
Instead, he wanted to see someone like Michelle Obama put her name on the ticket. But, Michelle has made it clear that she has no intentions of ever returning back to the White House. She’s been there, done that and certainly doesn’t want to return.
But at this point, everyone believes that it will be an uphill battle for Kamala Harris. Donald Trump already had a significant lead against Joe Biden and has an even bigger one now against Kamala.
And that’s what makes people like George Clooney and others in the celebrity world very nervous. The last thing they want to see is someone like Donald Trump in office.
But Michelle is not going to change her mind, no matter how many times her Hollywood friends try to call and text her. Her mind has been made up already. It’s going to be Kamala’s name on the ballot, regardless of what anyone has to say about it.
So far George Clooney himself has not made any comments about the matter but we will definitely update you with all of the latest details once they come in.
