General Hospital spoilers and updates for Monday, July 22 tease awkward questions, angry confrontations and plans go awry!
Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) is asked awkward questions, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) delivers an angry confrontation, and Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) plans go awry!
Brook Lynn Quartermaine-Chase (Amanda Setton) has some exciting news to share with Blaze (Jacqueline Grace Lopez) and Kristina Corinthos-Davis (Kate Mansi).
It seems like she’s filling them in on the new record label opportunity that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) proposed to finance, with the condition that Brook Lynn would be in charge.
Despite facing some conflicts, Brook Lynn seems to have made up her mind to take on the role, especially since she didn’t want Blaze’s controlling mother to meddle in her business.
Natalia Rogers-Ramirez (Eva LaRue) wasn’t thrilled about it, but Brook Lynn had to make a decision. Now, as they eagerly wait for her to continue, Brook Lynn tells Blaze and Kristina, “after careful consideration they said…”
Anna recently assisted Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) in fleeing the country with Charlotte Cassadine (Scarlett Fernandez). Laura Collins (Genie Francis) is now confronting Anna, attempting to find out how to reach Valentin, potentially worried about Charlotte.
However, Anna must remain firm in her stance that she has no means of contacting Valentin after she bid farewell to him and Charlotte following their reconciliation.
Anna finds herself in a difficult situation as she cannot reveal her involvement in their escape without facing potential consequences of her own.
Carly is currently throwing angry accusations, asking someone if they’re assisting John Cates (Adam Harrington) in going after Sonny! It seems she could be in Anna’s office, so Anna is definitely not having the greatest day.
After conversing with Jason on the footbridge, they arrived at the conclusion that Cates is solely focused on one thing, and that’s Sonny!
It appears that Cates’ threats to report Carly to the SEC were merely a means to an end. And that end was indeed the destruction of Sonny-and it appears to be personal!
Jason’s plans have completely backfired; by handing John Cates (Adam Harrington) the satellite phone obtained from Anna, which incriminated Valentin as the new leader of Pikeman, Cates called off the deal.
This was meant to eliminate the danger to Carly and free Jason from his informant responsibilities-
Cates is furious and tells Jason his role as an informant is far from finished. Jason’s expression reveals his displeasure. Cates is exposing his true intentions, which have nothing to do with his FBI obligations – it’s all about seeking revenge on Sonny for years past events.
Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell) is fuming as he clashes with Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy) and Sonny over Sonny’s request. Tensions are running high, and it seems like things are about to escalate as Diane warns Michael about his anger.
He yells at Sonny, demanding a reason to stay, while Sonny appears confused by Michael’s intense emotions.
What could be the reason behind Michael’s sudden outburst? What request did Sonny make of him?
