Let’s just say that he didn’t see this coming at all. There’s heavy speculation on social media that suggests Donald Trump has been left absolutely shocked by his wife Melania Trump’s very public move.
That’s because she gave him a kiss – or at least it looked like she gave him a kiss – in front of a packed crowd at the Republican National Convention this past week.
For a lot of Trump’s fans, this was certainly a very uncharacteristic move. After all, Melania is the kind of person who almost never shows public displays of affection.
In fact, she’s often swatted Donald’s hands whenever he’s tried to hold her hand in public. Melania doesn’t care if people are looking or if the press is going to report on it. If she doesn’t want to hold his hand, then she won’t.
But everything has certainly changed for Donald and Melania Trump after his assisination attempt. Melania knows that she has to be there for her husband. She also knows that she’s not going to let her family’s haters get the best of them.
That’s why Melania decided to show her support – with a kiss, of course – in front of the world. She’s also tired of all the rumors suggesting that they are on the verge of a breakup or that they live separate lives, when that couldn’t be further than the truth.
Melania might not want to proclaim her love so openly, but she’s also not going to hide in the shadows and let anyone disparage her husband and her family. After all, she’s a Trump, too. Fighting is just as much in her blood as it is in her husband’s.
Now, whether or not Melania is going to continue to stand by her man or even hit the campaign trail, remains to be seen. As much as she wants to, she also has to be careful about her own safety, especially since her husband was almost shot in the face.
So far Melania herself has not made any comments about the matter.
