General Hospital spoilers and updates for Friday, July 19 tease little detectives, struggles with grief, and discouraging situations. James West (Gary James Fuller) acts like a little detective, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) struggles with grief, and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) reacts to a discouraging situation.
Little James seems to have inherited his late father’s detective skills, as he’s onto something fishy. He’s gathered his family members – his mom Maxie Jones (Kirsten Storms), Georgie Spinelli (Lily Fisher), and Damian Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) – to share his suspicions.
James is convinced that there’s some strange business going on that no one is talking about, possibly related to the tension between Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) and Mac Scorpio (John J. York).
Despite being shielded from Cody’s confession to Mac about lying on the paternity test, little James is picking up on the underlying weirdness. Cody has been avoiding James, who used to be his close friend, at Mac’s insistence, causing a rift in the family dynamic.
Trina and Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) are spending time at the Metro Court Pool, where Trina opens up about her struggles with grief over Spencer Cassadine (Nicholas Alexander Chavez).
She expresses her desire to reach a point of acceptance and move forward from the tragedy. The lack of closure, with no body to bury, makes it challenging for her to navigate the grieving process.
However, the possibility of Spencer being alive, like Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) with amnesia in Nixon Falls, is possible. In a surprising turn of events, Josslyn recognized the pasta sauce Trina picked up at the Tan-o, fostering hope in Sonny’s survival.
Sasha Gilmore (Sofia Mattsson) has arrived to offer Cody some much-needed guidance and support, advising him to stay calm and not react impulsively.
It appears that Mac may have agreed to take small steps towards reconciliation with Cody, who now feels remorseful and ashamed of his actions. Despite Mac’s previous willingness to give him a chance, Cody’s sudden confession has complicated matters.
The situation now involves a delicate negotiation process with Maxie, Felicia Jones (Kristina Wagner), and possibly even James, in addition to Sasha. Cody is feeling embarrassed, Mac is upset and angry, and it’s understandable given the circumstances.
Laura Collins (Genie Francis) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) seem to be at a hospital, looking somber and worried. It’s clear that they are visiting Lulu Spencer (most recently Emme Rylan) and the situation is quite bleak.
Dante is questioning whether their visit is helping or hurting Lulu, and it’s uncertain if she is showing any signs of responsiveness. If she does wake up from her coma, she will be facing a drastically changed world.
Her partner has moved on, her brother is in prison, her father has passed away, and her daughter is on the run!
Tracy is still in the stable, but Cody might not be, as Sasha is talking to him-and she’s surprised after a mysterious person showed up while she and Cody were talking!
It might be James, since she wants to know how he got there and she’s surprised. Cody might have made an excuse to leave quickly, and that would explain James talking to his family about something strange happening.
Who else could it be that Tracy and Cody were clearly shocked by the interruption? Tracy is puzzled about how this person got there!
Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) are still deep in conversation on the footbridge, discussing their next steps.
With the FBI potentially satisfied with what they have, Jason expresses his worries about Sonny. He confides in Carly about Sonny’s unawareness of the danger he’s in.
Determined to help, Jason mentions the importance of getting Sonny to trust him again. Together, they strategize on how to make that a reality.
