Days of Our Lives spoilers say that Xander is going to do everything he can to make sure that his wedding day to Sarah goes off without a hitch. But if there’s anything that we’ve learned about life in this fictional town of Salem, no wedding day ends without a little spice and drama.

Plus, there’s also the fact that Xander is keeping his paternity secret to himself. There’s a very good chance that Xander’s mother, Fiona, might let the cat out of the bag that Xander is actually Victor’s son.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Paul Telfer, who plays Xander on the hit Peacock soap, says, “I’ve been kind of begging for something like this for a long time. I’ve been wanting to explore Xander’s paternity and the family beyond.”

“I always felt like being brought in as the nephew and the black sheep and all of that, it worked for a while, especially as a recurring villain, but now that I’m a more consistent part of the show, it just felt like the actual family relationships, as far as Xander’s concerned, are pretty tenuous, especially when nobody seems to like him.”

The actor continued, “The audience tolerates him, but the characters on the show don’t particularly like Xander, and they have good reason not to.”

“But I always felt that maybe that they were seeding the possibility and that he could be Victor’s son, and that there might be some explanation for the peculiar way Victor treated Xander.”

Now, as far as whether or not Paul had any idea that Xander’s mom was going to show up at his wedding, the actor said, ““I try to just play the scripts as they come in because sometimes you can get yourself tied up in knots trying to guess where it’s going.”

“I’m sure the audience does the same thing, but for us [actors], I can’t make big decisions about how to play things based on what may or may not happen.”

“I just have to deal with what’s in front of me. So I don’t tend to poke around too much.”
