There’s a new report that suggests Donald Trump has completely changed his mind about his running mate. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.
Right now, it looks like Donald Trump is way ahead of his opponent Joe Biden, as there’s a very good chance that he will win the election in November following his assassination attempt on Saturday at his rally in Pennsylvania.
A Sports Handle spokesperson even put it this way, “Donald Trump’s lead over the field was already commanding but the unfortunate events of this weekend have raised his popularity even more.”
“It’s beginning to look evident that Joe Biden will not step down from the race, and that Donald Trump will likely have a clearer path to victory this fall than he had in either 2016 or 2020.”
Not only that, but it also seems like he has completely changed his mind about his running mate. Earlier reports suggested he was going to pick Doug Burgum but now it looks like JD Vance is up on top.
There are currently three candidates that oddsmakers see as legitimate contenders for Trump’s VP nomination:
JD Vance – 45.98%
Doug Burgum – 41.03%
Marco Rubio – 10%
Sports Handle puts it this way, “The Republican National Convention begins today, which means that Donald Trump’s announcement of his running mate is imminent.”
“Despite North Dakota governor Doug Burgum holding the frontrunner spot for the past month, Ohio Senator JD Vance has overtaken the top odds spot the morning the convention kicks off.”
“Following what unfolded at Trump’s rally this weekend, his VP nominee has taken on even more significance, and the former president has long said he’s a fan of JD Vance and that he’s a fighter, something very important to Trump.”
“Vance has made a push at the right time and might ride that momentum to an office in the White House.”
