Young and the Restless Spoilers: Lauralee Bell Talks Stepping Into Phyllis Summers’ Shoes

Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers suggest that Phyllis Summers (Michelle Stafford) and Christine Blair have been bitter rivals for decades now.

More recently, their feud escalated another notch when both were vying for the affections of Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian).

While The Bug won that battle, actress Lauralee Bell recently revealed that if given the chance, she’d love to play the role of Phyllis on the Y&R, even if only for one day.

Bell recently caught up with Soap Opera Digest (SOD), participating in their “Actor Roundup” feature, an article where the online magazine asks daytime drama stars a question to see their response.

This week’s query was, “What other role on your show would you like to play for a day?”

Lauralee responded with, “Phyllis, without a doubt, because she gets to say anything. And for once it would be fun to play that side of the Christine/Phyllis arguments.”

It’s clear that despite Phyllis being Cricket’s number one nemesis, she has a ton of admiration for not only Michelle Stafford, but Red, too.

Y&R Spoilers: The Abbotts Chime In …

Michael Mealor (Kyle Abbott) and his onscreen aunt, Beth Maitland (Traci Abbott) also participated in this week’s SOD “Actor Roundup” and here’s what they had to say.

When it came to Mealor, he’d love to be able to step into Ashley Abbott’s (Eileen Davidson) shoes, stating, “Ashley, because she has amazing stuff to play with her multiple personalities. I think that would be exciting to do.”

Meanwhile, Beth notes that a particular Newman would be a nice change to her Traci character, who is the heart and soul of the Abbotts and always ‘does the right thing’. Maitland reveals to SOD that she’d love to play Adam Newman as he’s the opposite of Traci, in “every way.”
