Days of Our Lives Spoilers: What’s Going On With Everett?

After receiving treatment for his dissociative identity disorder, Stephanie noticed that something just wasn’t the same about Everett.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, actress Abigail Klein, who plays Stephanie on the hit Peacock soap, says that her character is trying to make a connection with Everett, but notices that something seems off.

She puts it this way, “She tries to not make it about herself, but what she’s saying with her eyes is, ‘I have been here for you this whole time.”

“I want nothing more than for you to lean on me. And it’s breaking my heart, it’s crushing me, that you’re not leaning on me.’ But she also respects mental health and knows that not everybody heals the same way.”

“She has great understanding of the magnitude of what he has suffered from. So ultimately she says, ‘Do what you need to do, but just know I am here for you if you need me.’”

For Stephanie, she feels heartbroken that the Everett she sees in front of her is not the same Everett she once loved.

Abigial says, “She doesn’t have any idea that it’s not Everett. She just thinks that he’s trying to guard his mental health and continue his healing process, and she is all for that.”

“But she’s naturally gutted and disappointed that they can’t pick up where they left off. In that sense, she was maybe a little delusionally optimistic, so her dreams are dashed.”

“I mean, she feels like a knife went through her heart when he says that he doesn’t want to date her and just wants to focus on his mental health.”
