The Young and the Restless (Y&R) spoilers for Friday, July 12 tease that Chelsea Lawson (Melissa Claire Egan) is working overtime to keep her secret night with Adam on the down low.

She and Adam Newman (Mark Grossman) crossed a line in a hotel room while checking up on their son out of state. Chelsea wants to make sure this never happens again so she devises a set of do’s and don’ts for the exes.

Instead of doing the right thing and taking accountability for what she’s done, Chelsea thinks that a set of safeguards will protect Chadam. It’s too late Chealsea, that horse has left its barn.

Adam is just as complicit and wants to keep Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) in the dark just as Chelsea wants to keep Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) unaware. Tick, tock, this secret is bound to blow up …

Victor wants to destroy Jabot and he’s using Glissade to do it. Will Adam finally realize what the end game is? Victor wants revenge on Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) but Adam may balk at being the mechanism that delivers the poison.

Then again, Adam might welcome the distraction from his guilty conscience and willingly become his dad’s bad boy since it’s a role he knows very well. However Adam chooses to play this gambit, he should tread lightly as the consequences are high.

Elsewhere, unsuspecting Sally does her best to impress Summer Newman (Allison Lanier) and prove that she was right to hire her at Marchetti.

We’ve been wondering how long it would take Kyle to play the “blood Abbott” card, just as his dad Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) did with Ashley Abbott (Eileen Davidson). On the Tuesday, July 9 episode Kyle pulled the card out of his sleeve when Summer threatened to fight for full custody of the boy she raised while his mom is in prison. Like father, like son. Smarmy Kyle has more in common with Jack than he thinks!
