Y&R spoilers indicate that Chadam agreed to keep their one-night stand a secret during the Friday, July 5 episode; however, fans know that secrets don’t stay hidden for long in the land of Genoa City.

Melissa Claire Egan recently spoke with Soap Opera Digest (SOD) about Chadam’s romp. Egan quickly pointed out that the exes’ one night together in Baltimore was not a reunion for the super couple, but rather a testimony of the bond Chelsea and Adam have.

While Adam is still in love with Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) and Chelsea remains committed to Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson), things are bound to get messy as Chadam’s growing guilt will consume them in the days and weeks ahead.

Y&R Spoilers: Great Minds Think Alike

Interestingly enough, Egan tells SOD that she sent a voice memo to Josh Griffith, Y&R head writer and executive producer, and encouraged a Chadam cheating storyline. Griffith replied stating it was happening and noted that “great minds think alike”.

While some may not approve of Chadam’s one-night stand, Egan insists that it’s “fun to see” people get fired up one way or another; whether they are happy with the former couple connecting in this way or upset.

It also looks like Egan is having a blast working with Courtney Hope, Jason Thompson, and Mark Grossman regarding this complex storyline.
