Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Here’s What Galen Gering Really Thinks Of His New Sister

Days of Our Lives star Galen Gering, who plays Rafe Hernandez on the hit Peacock soap, recently opened up about sharing screen time with his new television sister, Cherie Jiminez. It’s been a huge adjustment so far.

As many DOOL fans are probably aware of by now, Cherie has replaced outgoing star Camila Banus as the new Gabi DiMera on the soap. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Galen was asked if about the transition from working with Camila for so many years to Cherie now.

He said, “First and foremost, I was like, ‘Oh, God. How do you move on from there?’ Because that was certainly one of my favorite elements or aspects to working with Camila, the relationship we had [off camera].”

But he also admitted that working with Cherie has been a breeze if not also a soap opera dream so far. That’s because she fits in so well with the rest of the Days of Our Lives cast.

The actor explained, “It was great, because when she just got here, we sat and talked for hours. We hit it off from day one about life and [our] journeys and all that stuff.”

“So it was cool, because we could hit the ground running knowing that there was an understanding and trust there.”

“She’s a great actor and a great person and super-fun to work with. She definitely has similarities and also distinct differences from Camila, who I also loved and adored.”

However, Galen did not, “There were definitely some questions, and there will probably continue to be questions that she’ll have.”
