Days of Our Lives fans seem to be quite happy seeing Cherie Jiminez as the new Gabi DiMera on the hit Peacock soap.

Some have even taken to social media to comment on the matter with, “I just watched nu-Gabi’s scenes. I loved Camila in the role but she’s gone and the show must go on. That said, I like the new Gabi already.”

Along with, “I think her and Stefan have a lot of chemistry. I understand it’s gonna take some getting use too, but I am feeling her in the role. Not recasting her imo was never an option as it shouldn’t be.”

And then there was this comment as well, “She brings more maturity to the role and can still give sass like she did to EJ today.”

Meanwhile, and while speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Cherie opens up about what’s in store for Gabi.

The actress told the publication, “I’m so excited. It’s been a wild seven months. There’s seeing the love of her life; Gabi loves Stefan so much that just having him be there in front of her is everything.”

She continued, “So there is that want and desire to jump over the table and to just be with the man that she loves.”

“And then, when it comes to him telling her that he is possibly going to get her out, there’s definitely some skepticism about it, because of everything that has happened with her being in prison.”
