General Hospital Spoilers: Cody Doesn’t Know How To Come Clean

As many viewers of the show know, Cody has been keeping Mac in  the dark about being his real son for the past two years.

And even though Mac recently returned, Cody still kept this information from him and according to his portrayer, Josh Kelly, there’s a reason behind it.

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview Josh put it this way, “Cody’s feelings toward Mac’s family have gotten deeper, and he’s really entrenching himself into their lives, so it’s like he’s digging his own grave [the longer he lies to Mac about their true relationship].”

General Hospital spoilers say that this is just making it harder for Cody to come clean even though eventually he knows that he has to tell the truth.

But then again, how do you backtrack on such a huge lie like this one?

That’s a problem that Cody is going to have to navigate on his own right now with the hopes that Mac will forgive him for not telling him the truth earlier.

Josh continued, “He doesn’t really know how to, yet. He’s still ashamed; he’s really ashamed of what he did, and now he feels like more of a liar, you know?”

“He lied about the paternity test and sometimes it feels like it’s easier to live in a lie [than to ’fess up to it].”

“He’s got a good thing going, everyone’s getting along right now, and he knows that if he tells the truth, it’s gonna cause chaos and it might cause irreparable damage.”
