Days of Our Lives Spoilers: Judith Chapman Opens Up About Her Return To Salem

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Judith is returning to Days to splay Diane Colville, a character that was originally played by actress Genie Francis, who is now on General Hospital.

The last time that fans got to see Diane in action was back from 1987 to 1989.

Judith told the publication, “I was surprised to get that call. And then I was thrilled especially because I found out that my scenes would be with Greg [Rikaart], so Leo and Mommy are reunited! And when I read I read the script I went, ‘This is great stuff.’”

Judith also said that she got a total makeover from the hair and makeup department to look like Diana, who is trying to avoid prison for attempting to murder Marlena.

The actress said, “I told them that I don’t want my hair all done up, I don’t want false eyelashes, and I don’t want lots of makeup. I may look like the devil and I may cringe when I see myself but she’s in jail not a spa, so this isn’t some glam thing.” 

Judith continued, “Diana is not invisible. She will not take any garbage from anybody, much less somebody who is not as attractive as she is, in her own mind. So now I think Diana is bored to tears, but she’s just biding her time. ‘I’ll get out of here one of these days.’”
