Casting News: Steve Burton Is Out!

Days of Our Lives comings and goings say that Salem is finally going to say good-bye to Harris Michaels, played by actor Steve Burton.

That’s because the actor has jumped ship and moved back to General Hospital to reprise his role as Steve Burton, as everyone knows by now. Keep reading below for everything you need to know.

Even though Steve Burton has nicely settled back on the set of General Hospital since March, Days of Our Lives is taped six months in advance.

That’s why Steve’s last air date is only coming now. According to Soap Opera Digest, his last episode on Days of Our Lives will be on June 24.

DOOL Spoilers say that Harris is about to say good-bye to Ava (played by Tamara Braun) one last time.

And while Steve has remained great friends with the cast of Days of Our Lives, things are little different over at General Hospital.

There’s been some speculation that suggests he’s tired of his co-star Nancy Lee Grahn and all of her bulling. That makes for a difficult work environment for the two of them.

As many daytime television fans are probably well aware of by now, Nancy is the kind of person that doesn’t hold back whenever it comes to her opinions, and especially on her X account.

When both Steve and his co-star Ingo Rademacher lost their jobs back in November 2021 because they didn’t take the vaccine, Nancy was the first person to throw them under the bus.

In fact, she even announced that Ingo was getting fired from the show before the producers could even say anything.

Either way, fans are delighted that Steve is still on the canvas, either if it’s in Port Charles and not in Salem anymore.

So far Steve Burton himself has not made any comments about the matter.
