The actor, who is best known for his role as Bill Spencer on the hit CBS soap, has been keeping rather busy lately.

Don Diamont is clearly that friend everyone wants. Don is certainly popular in the daytime television world for a reason. And that’s not just because he’s super talented and handsome, because he really is that friend that people love to see! 

When asked which of his former soap stars he still keeps in touch with, Don told Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, “Well, of course, I’ve checked in with Christian J. LeBlanc, considering what he’s dealing with in his life right now with his cancer diagnosis.”

“I saw Peter Bergman at the Emmys; we hadn’t connected in a bit so it was really fun to see Peter and catch up with him.”

Don is also a brand new grandfather!

The Bold and the Beautiful Spoilers: What’s Going On With Don Diamont?

Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in an interview, Don, who plays Bill Spencer on the hit CBS soap, said that he found out that he was going to be a grandfather on Father’s Day. His son Alexander and daughter-in-law Audrey broke the news to him.

Don recalled, “They were like, ‘Your present is in there, you have to open the oven.’ I was like, ‘Open the oven?!’ And I open the oven and what’s in the oven but a bun, a hot dog bun or something.” 

“And then I was like, ‘Oh, my God!’ And that’s how we found out. It was great!”

He was also shocked over Darin Brooks’ decision to leave B&B.

Don who plays his father Bill Spencer, replied to Darin’s announcement to leave B&B with, “WHAAATTT!!!! I had no idea! You’re not just another actor. You interpret material with originality! The interaction of the Spencer men is not to be taken for granted.”

“That material is lifted off the page, and turned into what the audience sees with your individual, and exceptional interpretation both dramatically and comedically, and with what the three of us create interacting as a team.”

“You know I love you as an actor, and a person! I am broken-hearted.”
