Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in an interview, Dom admitted that he actually likes the fact that Dante is an employee of the Port Charles Police Department, mostly because he enjoys the steady employment!

After all, there’s always something going on in this fictional town of Port Charles, right? He said, “Dante will always have a job as a cop and as long as I don’t complain about being a cop on the show, I’ll have a job, too.”

Back in 2023, Dom was asked if he ever had any beef with his former co-star Steve Burton (ex-Jason Morgan) while he was still on the show.

That’s because it was always Jason who played the big time hero who got to kill the bad guys on the show.

But Dom said, “Nah, are you kidding me? That guy was there for, like, 25 years! I would never have thought I would ever be the chosen one to shoot the bad guy over the show’s leading ‘shooting the bad guy’ star. I never had any illusions of grandeur.”

General Hospital News: Dom Loves Going Back Home To Canada

And if he’s not filming new scenes for General Hospital in Los Angeles, you can find the actor back home in Canada.

Dom said that his heart belongs to Toronto. He said, “I feel like you don’t have a choice in the matter — you kind of grow up rooting for these hometown teams because it’s such a contagious energy.”

He added, “Hockey is so huge in Canada, but I’m like the least-Canadian Canadian because I never actually played hockey. I played street hockey in, like, church parking lots my whole childhood.”

Dom continued, “So, funny enough, I’m a fan of the thing I can’t play. I play soccer, but I’m not a huge fan of watching it; I get more joy out of playing than I do watching, whereas hockey, I get more joy out of watching it because I sucked at it [laughs].”
