General Hospital News: Why Is Kelly Monaco So Quiet Lately?

Kelly Monaco is by far one of the biggest stars in the daytime television world.

The General Hospital star, who is best known for her role as Sam McCall on the hit ABC soap, used to make a lot of headlines for her personal life.

But lately things have gotten a little quiet for her and of course, a lot of her fans are asking why.

General Hospital News: Why Is Kelly Monaco So Quiet Lately?

Let’s just say that this year has not been very easy on Kelly Monaco, especially with the passing of her ex-boyfriend, Billy Miller. And because of it, she’s retreated out of the spotlight.

That, and she’s only been focusing on her work on the set of General Hospital.

Billy Miller died in September after he apparently committed suicide. As many fans know, Billy and Kelly were very close and supposedly even dated off camera.

Kelly has not commented on the actor’s death and she hasn’t been seen in public nor has she posted anything on her social media channels since it was announced.

Now that Jason Morgan is going to be back in town, a lot of General Hospital fans can’t help but wonder what this means for Sam McCall. There’s heavy speculation that she might fall in love with him again now that she sees he’s alive.

But, of course, there’s going to be one problem: Carly Corinthos is also going to catch feelings for her former best friend as well.

General Hospital News: What’s Going On With Kelly Monaco?

The last time that we heard from Kelly, her house had burned down. Back in 2022, Kelly said she was sleeping at her Sherman Oaks, Calif., home when she awoke to find a raging fire in her backyard where the blaze was right against her windows.

To make things even more frightening, the fire quickly burned her home down, but Kelly managed to escape.

“Something as little as a cigarette butt can cause casualties and devastation,” the 45-year-old actress told TMZ at the time.
