According to Page Six, Susan Lucci did not want to tarnish her legacy with All My Children. That’s why she declined the offer to be the next Golden Bachelor. Even though she enjoys watching the show, Lucci says she knew it was simply not for her.

The actress said, “I believe that they contacted my publicist and it wasn’t for me. I really enjoyed watching ‘The Golden Bachelor.’ This is a new addiction for me. I was immediately engaged. I cared. I wanted to know more about these people.”

But Susan declined the offer because it was a project she simply was not for her. And for her fans, they are definitely breathing a huge sigh of relief. 

That’s because Susan Lucci is one of the biggest names in the daytime television world. The last thing  that fans would want to see if Susan reduced herself to become a daytime television star.

If that weren’t enough, a lot of people think that a lot of the men who appear on reality television programs are probably not worthy of Susan’s love, let alone her time. She’s an icon to so many people.

Plus, Susan was fortunate enough to be married to a man that truly loved her. She married Helmut Huber back in 1969. The couple were married for 52 years until Helmut’s death in March 2022.

While Susan has said that her friends have tried to persuade her to date again, she has also said that she’s simply not interested. The timing is just not right for her right now.
