We have heartbreaking news to share with the daytime television community. There is a new report that says a General Hospital alum has been shot and killed in a robbery that has gone terribly wrong.

According to TMZ, General Hospital alum Johnny Wactor, who appeared as his character Brando in at least 200 episodes of the show, has died.
The site says that the actor was shot and killed in downtown Los Angeles over the weekend, per his mother Scarlett. Johnny was with a co-worker when he saw three people messing with his car.
Reports say that they were the same people who were trying to steal a catalytic converter.
Johnny didn’t try to fight or stop them but the suspects shot him before taking off. Even though the paramedics rushed to the scene, he was pronounced dead at the hospital.
Many fans have commented on Johnny’s death online. Some have even said, “This is so terrible. Life imitating art. I couldn’t get over his character’s death. This is just indescribable and I am so sad.”
Another critic wrote, “L.A is falling apart, crime is getting out of hand, the mayor & Gov of L.A are both failing its residents badly.”
And then there was this comment as well: “This sucks…. How do you not get furious? Our public officials need to be held accountable. Enough is enough. Love to his family and friends.”
“I really liked him on GH. This is so tragic, sending condolences to his family.”
So far the producers of General Hospital have made no comments about the matter.
Our condolences go out to Johnny’s entire family during this very difficult time. The suspects have not yet been found but Johnny’s mother is hoping that will quickly change soon.
