General Hospital Spoilers: Brennan’s Escape Plan At General Hospital, Carly Taken Hostage

General Hospital spoilers tease that Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) wasn’t in Port Charles long before he was arrested for targeting Anna Devane (Finola Hughes).

His crimes against Anna were many, including having her house burned down. But before his arrest, Brennan made sure he took the time to get to know Carly Spencer (Laura Wright).

Although his main purpose was get information about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Bernard), he couldn’t help striking up a flirtation with Carly.

General Hospital Spoilers – Carly Spencer set off alarm bells with Jack Brennan

Brennan handed off leadership of the Pikeman Group to Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). Brennan and Valentin had a couple of clandestine meetings but Valentin told Brennan they couldn’t meet any longer or they could arouse suspicion of Valentin’s involvement with Pikeman.

So when Carly showed up at Pentonville, she revealed to Brennan that the FBI was the government agency investigating Pikeman. Carly had hoped to get information from Brennan, but she let slip more information than she got in return.

By visiting Brennan, and using their attraction to her own ends, Carly certainly got Brennan’s attention. Unable to warn Valentin about the FBI, Brennan took matters into his own hands.

After forging a shank, Brennan stabbed himself in the gut with it, framing another inmate in the process. As he most likely planned, Brennan was admitted to General Hospital.

While he might have just wanted a way to reach Valentin, chances are Brennan is planning a big escape while in the hospital since security will be much less stringent there.

Although security will certainly be much more lax at General Hospital than at Pentonville, Brennan may still have trouble making his great escape.

But an unexpected visit from Carly might give him an idea. Once before, Brennan had planned to abduct Carly before his arrest. Now he might be able to make good on his original intention.

If he holds Carly captive, he might threaten to harm her if he’s not allowed to go free. But what happens after that?
