There’s a new report that suggests the young teen, who just turned 18 back in April, has made quite the controversial decision when it comes to her famous father, Tom Cruise. Suri Cruise has made a decision not to keep her father’s last name anymore. Apparently, Tom Cruise has not been in her life ever since he and Katie Holmes pulled the plug on their marriage back in 2012, so that’s why she’s decided to drop ‘Cruise’ has her last name. According to new reports, she now wants to known simply as Suri Noelle moving forward.

To make matters worse, Tom apparently was nowhere to be seen when Suri celebrated her 18th birthday with her mother Katie back in April. The duo were in New York City while Tom was in London. However, the actor did manage to take the time out of his very busy schedule to celebrate Victoria Beckham’s 50th birthday not too long ago.

Now, how Tom Cruise may feel about his daughter’s decision, no one really knows. But at the same time, it’s safe to say that they don’t have the kind of relationship that Tom still has with his two other children, Connor and Bella, who he often gets to see. Suri has clearly made peace with the fact that her father is not in her life and has moved on, which is why she’s ultimately decided to drop his last name. Plus, it’s no secret that she’s always been closer to her mother Katie Holmes anyway.
