They were once considered the golden couple of Hollywood and managed to be the stars of each and every red carpet event that they attended together. And while a lot of people had hoped their love would last forever, their marriage fizzled out after only five short years. Jennifer and Brad met through their publicists back in 1998 and quickly formed a romance like no other. The tabloids at the time couldn’t get enough of their relationship. Their popularity even seemed to peak when Brad guest starred on Jennifer’s hit sitcom Friends for an Thanksgiving episode that no one would forget. Brad played a character that absolutely hated Jennifer Aniston’s Rachel Greene, with a lot of fans calling it one of the most memorable episodes of the series.
And while there’s no doubt that many couples sure do experience their ups and downs, Brad and Jennifer had it pretty good. They had a solid group of friends and as Brad even once put it, liked eating ice cream in bed and passing gas with his wife. His words, not ours.
Unfortunately, things took a turn for the worse when Brad Pitt began working with Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie on the set of their film, Mr. and Mrs. Smith, back in 2004. And before anyone knew it, Jennifer filed for divorce in January 2005. It was certainly a move that shocked everyone, but at the same time, the rumor mill also suggested that Brad might have had an affair with Angelina behind Jennifer’s back.
Well, despite the rumors and cheating allegations, Brad and Jennifer managed to remain friends and even had a little backstage reunion at the SAG Awards in 2020. Angelina, meanwhile, filed for divorce from Brad in 2016.
