General Hospital spoilers and updates for Friday, May 17 tease confusion, demands and concern. Damian Spinelli’s (Bradford Anderson) confused how to start, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) makes a demand and Lois Cerullo’s (Rena Sofer) concerned about Sonny Corinthos’ (Maurice Benard) attitude.
Cody Bell (Josh Kelly) seeks advice from Sasha on how to address a certain issue. He tells her if she has a better way, he’s all ears.
Lately, things have been peaceful for Cody and Sasha, especially since she started working as the Quartermaine’s cook and they are often in close proximity due to his job with the horses.
However, there is one important task that Sasha has been waiting for Cody to complete for quite some time now, possibly even a couple of years!
Cody has been keeping his true paternity a secret from the Scorpio family, feeling ashamed of having lied to Mac Scorpio (John J. York) and his family. Perhaps the best course of action would be for him to come clean and confess the truth.
Meanwhile, Spinelli was completely taken aback by Sam McCall’s (Kelly Monaco) request at the wedding reception. She wanted him to help Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) by investigating the FBI, perhaps specifically looking into John “Jagger” Cates (Adam Harrington).
Spinelli is in a state of panic, admitting he has no idea where to even begin. The whole situation seemsincredibly confusing, especially since Jason had confessed to being an FBI informant to Sam.
It just didn’t add up why the FBI would involve a hit man who worked for Sonny Corinthos in their operations!
Elsewhere at the Metro Court still at the wedding reception, Violet Finn (Jophielle Love) has some very serious questions for her dad. She tells Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) she wants to ask him a question, and he needs to be honest with her as Elizabeth Baldwin (Rebecca Herbst) stands by.
Brave little Violet may want to know if her grandpa Gregory Chase (Gregory Harrison) is really okay or not since he nearly collapsed during the wedding.
Gregory started to have problems breathing at the pulpit and nearly collapsed, as Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) and little Violet both ran up to assist.
But he managed to recover and complete pronouncing Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) husband and wife!
It seems that Jason and Sonny may be having a heated discussion at the reception, with Anna stepping in to mediate. Anna advises Jason to tone it down, as he’s attracting attention and making a scene.
Sonny shot some disapproving glances earlier when he spotted Jason at the wedding, so it’s probably Sonny who initiated the disagreement.
Despite the tension, Jason remains composed and collected. Of course, Jason’s not the only person whose presence Sonny’s having problems with!
In the meantime, Lois tries to calm Sonny down, concerned he’s going to start something he can’t take back. She tells him the bigger deal he makes of something, the bigger deal it’s going to be.
Dex Heller (Evan Hofer) is also present, with Jason having promised Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) earlier that he would keep Dex safe.
Sonny seems on the verge of losing control and acting impulsively due to reduced doses of his bipolar medication. Could Sonny potentially make rash decisions against those he perceives as traitors attending the reception?
