It looks like she’s showing everyone who is in charge here. Melania Trump pretty much took a swipe at her husband Donald Trump by canceling their son Barron Trump’s plans to be at the Republican National Committee this summer. It was earlier reported that Barron was going to be a delegate, but it looks like Melania has made it pretty clear that she wants her son to steer away from his father’s world of politics. It was reported earlier in the week that Barron Trump, just like the rest of his siblings, would be a delegate as he would be among those selecting his father Donald Trump’s name as the party’s presidential nominee. It would be his first foray into the political sphere. Even Donald himself said that Barron was “all for it.” But Barron’s mother seems to think otherwise.
Well, it seems like Melania Trump has other plans for her son as she’s just confirmed that Barron will take no part in his father’s bid to become the next president of the United States again. A spokesperson for the former First Lady said, “While Barron is honored to have been chosen as a delegate by the Florida Republican Party, he regretfully declines to participate due to prior commitments.”
This year’s Republican National Convention is expected to take place in Milwaukee, Wisconsin from July 15-18, but clearly Melania wants to make sure that her son is anywhere but there that weekend. Now, whether or not Melania Trump shows up to the RNC convention remains to be seen, too. Here’s hoping that she will for Donald’s sake, right?
