During the latest episode of General Hospital, both Jason and Anna had a conversation about how they felt sorry for Carly and how she never ‘chose’ to mob life, even though fans of the show beg to differ. A lot of people have pointed out that she chose that life when she gave Michael to Sonny and even each time she herself went back to her ex-husband. For many fans of the show, it’s safe to say that she wouldn’t want to be anywhere but in the middle of all the mob drama.

Of course, it didn’t take very long for many General Hospital fans to weigh in on the matter. Many of them took to social media to share comments such as, “Did they cross Sam and Drew’s names out of a recycled script? It was nonsense then and it’s nonsense now. Carly chose the mob life many times. She loved that. I don’t know why they’re acting like she’s some sweetheart suburban mom,” along with, “Jason told Carly to not get involved, she did what she always does, this is on her. can’t & won’t do Revisionist History w/ these storylines..I invested too much time watching GH only to have Korte rewrite EVERYTHING to favor.”

Another critic wrote, “Why does everybody on this show make excuses for Carly? Frank and Korte trash this character. What kind of lie is this? They didn’t pull her into anything. She chose that life. She is not some innocent victim of the mob.”

And then there was this comment, too: “Carly knew exactly what she was getting into, so everyone needs to stop making all of these crazy excuses for her. Carly has dragged Sonny for not being tough enough.”
