General Hospital News: Maurice Benard Finally Gets What He Wants

General Hospital star Maurice Benard, who is best known for his role as Sonny Corinthos on the hit ABC soap, has confirmed that he has finally booked his dream State of Mind guest. As many soap opera fans are aware of, Maurce has a YouTube series called State of Mind, in which he openly talks about mental health issues with a lot of his friends who are in the daytime television industry. Some of his biggest guests have been Laura Wright, Tracey E. Bregman, Courtney Hope and so many of his co-stars from General Hospital. But if there was one person that has had a hard time getting on the show, it has been Steve Burton, who plays Jason Morgan on General Hospital. Well, until now. 

According to Soap Opera Digest, Steve will be his next guest on State of Mind. He told the publication, “I wanted Steve Burton and I’m shooting him Tuesday, my good friend, but he’s been through a lot and I’ve been asking for three years, but he’s finally going to do it.”

There’s no doubt that Steve Burton is going to be one very interesting guest on the show. After all, he’s experienced a lot of life changes in the past several years with his divorce, getting fired and rehired on General Hospital, and returning to Days of Our Lives.
