Prince William is accused of being an ignorant father. Actually, you can make that a neglecting father, too. That’s mostly because the future king of England had spent his daughter’s birthday at a soccer game, prompting a lot of people to wonder why he wasn’t home celebrating instead. Prince William looked like he was very much into the soccer match while watching his beloved Aston Villa play this past week. But the game happened to be on the same day as his daughter Princess Charlotte’s 9th birthday. A lot of people couldn’t help but wonder why the Prince of Wales was at a soccer game and not at home celebrating with his darling daughter at home instead.
While Prince William himself has not made any comments about the matter, it has been suggested on social media that he might have celebrated Charlotte’s birthday along with the rest of the family earlier in the day. After all, the kick off for the game wasn’t until 8pm. And seeing how it was a school day, there’s a very good chance that Princess Charlotte was already in bed by the time her father went off for the game. Clearly, William was free to do what he wanted.
That said, it seems like the Prince of Wales gets criticized for almost everything that he does today and some people just seem to have had enough of it. Others, however, think that he doesn’t do enough for his family. Whatever the case, there’s no doubt that Princess Charlotte enjoyed her very special day and that no one in her family paid any attention to the criticism online. Sometimes it’s just better that way, right?

If the game wasn't until 8 pm then I don't see why William shouldn't be able to take evening off and relax. Especially if he spent the day with a bunch of 9 year old girls !!!
