General Hospital Spoilers: Tabyana Ali Opens Up About Nicholas Chavez’s Shocking Decision

General Hospital star Tabyana Ali, who is best known for her role as Trina on the hit ABC soap, recently opened up about her former co-star Nicholas Chavez and his decision to leave, even though his character Spencer and Trina were the most popular couple on the show. As many General Hospital fans already know, Trina was left shocked and terribly heartbroken when Spencer tragically went overboard after he saved her from Esther. Speaking to Soap Opera Digest in a new interview, Tabyana says that while life for her character certainly hasn’t been the same, she understands why Nicholas Chavez made the decision to leave the soap. But at the same time, she would certainly love to see him come back.

Tabyana put it this way, “It was great creating Sprina together with him. I want the best for him and all of his endeavors and I hope that we will get the chance to work together again someday. I also want to show my gratitude to Sprina Nation as well.”

General Hospital Spoilers: What’s Next For Trina?

That said, Tabyana added that she would like General Hospital fans to certainly see a different side to Trina’s character in the coming weeks or months ahead. She said, “I want her to just be…just cool, to have another side of her. I think she’s such a kind person. I would like her to have a vendetta story or a revenge story. Or the love of her life is gone and now she just turned evil a little bit. But I don’t know how much that would be possible. She’s such a kind-hearted person at her core.”
