Days of Our Lives spoilers and updates pose the question; will Konstantin Meleounis’ (John Kapelos) greed lead to Maggie Kiriakis’ (Suzanne Rogers) demise?
A marriage in name only to keep Konstantin in the country is the perfect way for Konstantin to make sure he inherits Maggie’s millions!
Konstantin the con didn’t even have to ask Maggie to marry him, she asked him to marry her, when her lawyers couldn’t find any other way to renew his expiring visa.
Maggie did caution him that this would be a marriage in name only, meaning they wouldn’t be physically man and wife, only on paper.
Likely, they will still sleep in their separate rooms since immigration authorities wouldn’t have any reason to suspect otherwise and won’t be making visits to check up on the “marriage”.
Even if they did, the Kiriakis mansion is big enough that there would be time for one to excuse themselves, grab some of his clothes and hang them in Maggie’s closet.
It’s doubtful an ICE (Immigration and Customs Enforcement) agent would look any harder than that, and there will be a legal marriage certificate filed.
Xander Cook (Paul Telfer) is suspicious of Konstantin anyway, as are Steve Johnson (Stephen Nichols) and John Black (Drake Hogestyn), they all think Konstantin is bad.
Xander and Sarah Horton (Linsey Godfrey) are shocked when Maggie announces she and Konstantin are getting married, Xander assuming Konstantin proposed-he’s quickly corrected, and Maggie likely explains the reason for it.
The news quickly travels and when Steve hears it, he’s really worried-he tells John if the bastard killed his ex-wife-which they suspect-what might happen to Maggie? They did a deep dive search on Mrs. Konstantin and could find no trace, they only discovered there was a divorce on file in Aria, Greece.
From sneaky Konstantin the con’s perspective, one major problem is solved that would stand in the way of his access to Maggie’s money-being married to her.
The next problem to be solved is to find her will, and make sure it’s altered, or perhaps a new one forged, showing him as an heir.
Konstantin suspects that perhaps Maggie put her two remaining daughters as heirs, since her son and one daughter are deceased; preferably the will should read he is the only heir.
He’s not at all sure he could convince her to add him because that would simply be too obvious. But first things first-he has to find the will to be able to take next steps, then work on getting her out of the way!

One big problem. Marriage is no longer considered a valid reason to keep an illegal from being deported. DOL do your research.
