Back in 2005, Tom Cruise certainly made it no secret that he was head-over-heels in love with Hollywood and television actress Katie Holmes. While they certainly seemed like a very unlikely pair at the time, Tom didn’t waste a second making Katie his true love. The couple married in a lavish ceremony in 2006. That same year, they also welcomed their daughter, Suri. But everything came crashing down for Tom when Katie pulled the plug on their marriage in June 2012. Here are just a few tragic details of their post-divorce relationship.

Back in 2012, Tom Cruise had nothing but great things to say about his wife Katie at the time during an interview with Playboy magazine. But little did he know that Katie was actually planning a surprise divorce from him. Sources at the time said that he had no idea that Katie was looking to pull the plug on their short six-year marriage. And that’s exactly what she did, leaving him completely blindsided. 

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes’ divorce was wrapped up in a record 11 days. While no details about their settlement has ever been made public, it’s been suggested that Katie managed to get full-time custody of their one and only child, Suri Cruise. But even that is unconfirmed. However, Suri has only been seen with her mother Katie in public. While some think that Suri might have a private relationship with her father behind closed doors, no one knows that for sure.

Celeb News: What’s Next For Katie Holmes?

Katie Holmes has never spoken about Tom Cruise in any of her media interviews. There’s also very little known about their parenting plan. It’s almost as if Katie has decided to keep her distance from her ex-husband and the Church of Scientology for her well-being.

Tom Cruise for his part has also never spoken about Katie or Suri for that matter, either. It’s safe to say at this point that Tom’s relationship with Katie these days is pretty much non-existent.
