While there’s no doubt that they had a very complicated marriage that led to their divorce, it’s what happened after their separation that has had everyone talking. And it all had to do with the way that she was buried after her death. That’s because some people are still shaking their heads over it. Even though Ivana was someone who fiercely defended her ex-husband and wanted to see him win the presidential election back in 2016, she’s also made some pretty controversial statements at the same time. She proclaimed herself to be the real First Lady even though Donald was already married to his third wife, Melania Trump, and also wrote a book about raising the Trump kids. But it’s how Donald treated his ex-wife after she died that still has a lot of people raising their eyebrows over the matter.
But when Ivana died in July 2022 at the age 0f 72, a lot of people were surprised that she was buried at the Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster, New Jersey, which is about 40 miles west of New York City. A lot of people think this was a disrespectful move, mostly because Donald Trump supposedly got a tax break for making his golf course into a cemetery.
Many people have even commented on the matter with, “It must be for tax purposes and has nothing to do with the entire Trump Family will be laid to rest together, as a family. I’m sure the mausoleum built on that property also is for tax purposes. I’m sure that Ivana didn’t have a will so she didn’t specify her wishes upon her death,” along with, “Ivana Trump was buried near the first hole of Trump National Golf Club in Bedminster. I wonder if Ivana knows that her plot now serves to exempt donald from a quadrella of tax avoidance. He’s exempt from also paying personal property taxes, business taxes, sales taxes, income taxes, and inheritance taxes all because he buried his first wife near the first tee of his golf course.”
