General Hospital spoilers and updates for Wednesday, April 17 tease supportive friends, important realizations, and quality decisions.

Hamilton Finn (Michael Easton) is a supportive friend, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) and Laura Collins (Genie Francis) make important realizations and Cyrus Renault (Jeff Kober) makes a quality decision.

General Hospital Spoilers: Money Matters

At a restaurant over a meal, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) and Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) discuss money matters.

Chase had disclosed he sold his truck so he could take Brook Lynn to Florence Italy on their honeymoon. Brook Lynn and Chase come from two different worlds financially and she feels a little guilty about what he did.

Brook Lynn tells Chase she appreciates the offer, but Chase guesses she’s not going to take it. These two will have a discussion about their two different worlds and how they can bring them together.

GH Spoilers: Supportive Friends

Elsewhere, Chase’s older brother, Hamilton Finn and Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) support each other. Finn points out to Alexis that when people don’t think they’re worth saving, they don’t even try.

Finn is frustrated about his father, Gregory Chase’s (Gregory Harrison) illness and his shutting Finn out about his symptoms. Gregory lives with Finn, a doctor, so he can’t hide the progression of his illness from him easily.

Perhaps he thinks his dad is not trying hard enough to find experimental treatments for his disease, which is ALS aka Lou Gehrig’s Disease.

General Hospital Spoilers: Wise Counsel Needed

In the meanwhile, Elizabeth Baldwin, (Rebecca Herbst) Finn’s girlfriend is with his dad and opens up to him about some problems, likely family problems.

Greg suspects something’s bothering her and asks what it is, then says never mind, he thinks he knows. Among other things, Elizabeth’s son Jake Webber (Hudson West) is having a difficult time accepting his birth father Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) is back.

Jason was missing and presumed dead for two years and never contacted anyone he was alive and couldn’t explain why. Gregory knows all about father and son problems, he and Finn didn’t speak for years.

GH Spoilers: Important Realizations

It looks like Laura is in Anna’s office at the PCPD as they talk about arriving at important realizations. They’re talking about Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and protecting him from prosecution because of inappropriate friendships with him or him with their family members.

Laura is stern as she admits to Anna that she and Anna have been standing in the way of it, meaning Sonny’s takedown and arrest, for too long. Anna promises Laura she will be ready-she can count on it!

General Hospital Spoilers: Quality Decisions

Later, Laura talks to Cyrus about pressing charges against Sonny for beating him badly in a church-without provocation. Cyrus had initially forgiven him and refused to press charges, but Laura is very persuasive. Cyrus makes a quality decision and tells her Sonny’s fate is in his hands.

Sonny has weaseled out of every charge brought against him, and Laura and Anna both have decided that won’t happen anymore if they can help it. Cyrus’ testimony will be a start-but he’ll absolutely need protection from Sonny and his hit squad!
