Days of Our Lives fans seem to be none too pleased with the fact that Melissa Reeves is returning to Salem to reprise her role as Jennifer Horton. And while she’s only going to be on for a few episodes around Thanksgiving, fans think that the producers of the show might have made a huge mistake, given the fact that Melissa has said some rather controversial things in the past. Melissa Reeves is returning to DOOL and unfortunately, not everyone is happy. Of course, it didn’t take very long for many Days of Our Lives fans and critics alike to sound off on the matter. Many of them have written comments such as, “She should have stayed in Tennessee or whatever right wing, nutcase, gay hating, anti-female reproductive rights, Trump loving hole she crawled out of. Bring back Cady immediately! Nostalgia be damned!” along with, “I’m sorry but no… Homophobia and racism should not be rewarded with a paycheck for the sake of a storyline. Bringing her back is not “honoring” someone who was a good and decent character and a liberal, humane and tolerant person in real life.”
Another critic wrote, “I understand why she’s back–she obviously has plentiful history with Bill and Susan–so it is what it is (personally, I prefer Cady in the role, but I was never a big Jack and Jen fan to begin with). Much more concerned with Kristian and Peter returning.”
And then there was this comment as well, “Ugh I loved Cady in the role. It’s not like anyone really needs to see Melissa on the small screen again. But I understand this is more of an event to honor history so it makes sense. Plus it’s probably a short time visit.”
Days of Our Lives airs on the Peacock network. Fans will simply have to tune in each and every day to find out what will happen next!

Been watching since day 1. Melissa IS Jennifer! Don't care about her politics. This is America and she has a right to believe however she wants to!!
I love her as Jennifer Horton too. I did not like Cady MCClain in the role. There is only one Jennifer, and that is Melissa Reeves.

I’m so glad they’re bringing Melissa back. They should have had her back when Abby was murdered. Cady is so fake and a terrible actress.
I do not think it is proper to bring her back given the nature of her Comments. Cafy seems much more professional and deserving of the role... I sm terribly hurt and disappointed.. do the right thing... give cady the role

All of the people that are writing about her and her personal life CHILL. It is none of your business where she stands politically. Sounds like some of you are full of hate and need to keep your opinions to yourself.
Melissa sided with hate and that put down people of color who are still on the show as well as those behind the scenes. If the role of Jennifer is reprised, bring Cady back, Cady always does great acting and she does not carry hate in her heart for people who may not be like her. EOS.
Not sure, as all the comments I’m reading on facebook are loving the fact Melissa is returning. Not sure what comments she made, but not once has it effected her performance as Jennifer so as long as she doesn’t effect her character, I love Melissa and sorry but can’t stand Cady as Jennifer. The only reason Cady stepped in was because Melissa didn’t want to travel back to Burbank during Covid and Lockdown. I don’t blame her on that one
Jennifer is Melissa in my opinion. I enjoyed her much more than Cady.
